Robin Ireland, our Chief Executive.
Robin joined Heart of Mersey (HoM) in October 2002
after running a successful health promotion consultancy for many
years. He has lived and worked in Liverpool since 1984.
Robin is currently studying part-time for his Masters in Public
Health. Any free time he has is put to good use clocking up the
miles on his 'bike.
Modi Mwatsama, Food and Health Programme Manager
Modi joined us in February 2004 from the National Heart Forum,
where she worked as a Policy and Information officer. She earned
her MSC in Public Health Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene
and Tropical Medicine.
As well as being an expert in food and nutrition, Modi is an accomplished belly dancer!
Pippa Sargent, Smoke Free Programme Manager
Pippa joined HoM in August 2004 from the Department of Health,
where she was employed as a national co-ordinator for CALM, the
Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Pippa is currently on maternity leave and learning how to play
the double bass.
Sue West, Corporate Communications
Manager, joined HoM from a similar role with the Cheshire
& Merseyside Strategic Health Authority and has worked
extensively in health related corporate communications roles in the
North West.
Angela Cockburn, PA to Robin
Angela joined HoM in June 2003 from a role with the Health
Protection Agency.
Angela spends her weekends ferrying her teenage daughters around
and following Everton FC.
Andrea Duggan, Administrator
Andrea joined HoM in July 2006 from Sefton Primary
Care Trust.
Andrea hails from County Durham and spends her spare time partying
between there and Liverpool, and watching live music.
Gemma Weston, Food and Health Officer
Gemma took up her post in May 2006. She was previously engaged as a
HoM administrator, having joined the team in August 2005 with a
degree in sport, health and leisure.
In her spare time Gemma can be found cantering along Hightown Beach on one of her two horses.
Ffion Lloyd-Williams
Ffion joined us in May 2005. She gained a PhD in Health Education
at
the University of Keele. Prior to HoM, Ffion was the Project
Manager/Research Fellow for a Nurse-Led Heart Failure Clinics Trial
in the Department of Primary Care, University of Liverpool.
Ffion admits to an unusual pastime - attending sheepdog trials

Mike Parker, Operations Manager
Mike Parker joined the HoM team on secondment in June 2006. He has
worked in private business, local government and primary care for
the last ten years on various healthy lifestyle programmes.
As a member of a Lake District climbing club, Mike spends most of his free time in the 'great outdoors'.
Robert Delis, Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) Project Officer

Robert joined the team in October 2006 following a successful one-year student placement at the NW Health Brussels Office (NWHBO). Robert, who was born in Poland, completed his Masters in Tourism and Nutrition at the Higher College of Economics in Warsaw. His post is a joint appointment with the NWHBO.
A trained chef, Robert has a considerable personal interest in nutrition in general.
